Academic Council

 

          Academic Council of Maharaja's College, which is one of the three Authorities of the College functions to make academic regulations regarding admission of students to the different programs of the College, to make regulations for the conduct of examinations, to scrutinize the proposals of the Boards of Studies of the College with regard to the syllabi and curricula of the programs, to make and approve the research proposals, to recommend to the Governing Council for new programs, to advise the Governing Council on the suggestions made by it with respect to the academic affairs and to perform the academic functions assigned to it by the Governing Council.

        It comprises the Principal, the Heads of the Departments, four teachers of the College nominated by DCE, four external experts from industry, law, commerce and engineeringnominated by the Governing Council, three external members nominated by the University. Principal is the Chairman of the Council and one of the Heads of the Departments, its Member Secretary.
