ORICE (Online Resources Initiatives of Collegiate Education)

       Online Resources Initiatives of Collegiate Education (ORICE) is a progressive initiative of Directorate of Collegiate Education (Previously EDUSAT) to develop and disseminate higher education thoughts of eminent academicians and experts within India and abroad. The programme is part of the ongoing efforts for developing quality educational content for e learning. ORICE focus on developing Education & Research oriented contents by the eminent scholars across the world and telecast through Meghnad Saha Center for Content Development (MSCCD) as live internet streaming and Video Conference where interactions make easy.

Government Maharaja’s College Ernakulam has recently set up a fully functioning 50 seat Smart class room for ORICE digital platform. Live classes are being conducted periodically through ORICE facility.

There are several information and communications technology (ICT) initiatives of the State Government, UGC and its Inter-University Centres in the form of digital platforms. These digital platforms can be accessed by the teachers, students, and researchers in Universities and Colleges for learning.

These ICT initiatives, which cover a broad range of subjects and courses, have been prepared by experts for providing an excellent learning experience to all.

Orice provides access to teaching-learning resources. It hosts high quality, curriculum-based, interactive e-content containing modules (e-text and ) in the disciplines of arts and sciences. It provides high-quality educational curriculum-based course contents covering diverse disciplines such as arts, science, commerce, performing arts, social sciences and humanities subjects, engineering, technology, law, medicine, agriculture, etc to all teachers, students and citizens across the country interested in lifelong learning.

It provides access to unlimited educational curriculum based lectures absolutely free.
