CAREER GUIDANCE CELL  

MAHARAJAS COLLEGE, ERNAKULAM

             The Career Guidance Cell has been set up in Maharajas College, Ernakulam with the primary objectives to provide much-needed job awareness and skills training to students and help them to get job placements. The vision of our Career Guidance Cell is “Happiness belongs to the self-sufficient”. It envisages kindling the self-awareness of our students, assisting them in the discovery of their innate skills and talents, exposing them to various avenues of career development, and ultimately, steering them towards a path of self-sufficiency and independence. The mission of the Career Guidance Cell goes hand-in-hand with College’s vision to achieve self-sufficiency. The cell works towards the goal of equipping our students to face the world with confidence, so that each may find his rightful place. It looks toward molding productive professionals with a global perspective who can make constructive contributions to society.

To keep pace with the present stiff competition, the career guidance cell is planning to undertake several measures like organizing seminars, training in soft skills, communication skills, personality development, and leadership skills to the students and also encourage the students to participate in seminar or training programs organized by other institutions. The career guidance cell planning to organize programs to create awareness about the importance of higher studies in India and abroad. We are planning to organize coaching classes for competitive examinations like GATE, UGC-NET, CSIR-JRF, CUET, JAM, CAT, TOEFL, GRE, etc.
