OVERVIEW

     Department of history started functioning on 1st June 1929 with B A Degree course. MA (History) was started in 1959. Eminent historians like Prof. P. S. Velayudhan, Prof. Ramachandra Kurupu, Prof. N. R. Kunjikkuttan, Prof. A. P. Meera Ben, Prof. Jokkim Panjikkaran and Prof. Gopinatha Menon has adorned the department for many years.
